Hello everybody! Certainly hope you’re all safe and healthy. In the next couple of weeks, we’re gonna be dishing out a few new recipes to hopefully keep everyone full and occupied this circuit breaker period. Cooking is a great way to kill time and a good dish definitely helps provide all the good vibes you need during tough times like these. Here we go! We’re starting off with Burnt Basque cheesecake given all the hype about it recently. Also, it’s really much easier than it looks.
Ingredients
1kg cream cheese
165g castor sugar
3 large eggs, 3 small eggs
400ml double cream
1tbs plain flour
Instructions
Step 1
In a mixer, mix cream cheese till soft. Add in sugar and continue mixing.
Step 2
Add in eggs one by one and continue mixing until smooth and consistent.
Step 3
Fold in flour and double cream gently using a spatula.
Step 4
Pour mixture into a 10-inch round baking pan lined with baking paper.
Step 5
Place into Tecno oven pre-heated to around 210 degrees celsius for about 42-45 mins. Cake should still be jiggly with a nice burnt golden brown top. Let it rest for 30-60 mins before slicing into it to reveal a soft, semi-liquid middle.
